Job summary

Metropolitan Airports Commission is seeking a temporary, on-call Field Maintenance Worker to support MSP operations during high-demand events. The role is activated as needed for weather disruptions and irregular operations, with a maximum of 67 workdays per calendar year.

Responsibilities include snow and ice control, bituminous and concrete surface repairs, fencing, signage, pollution control, trash removal, and general grounds maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in outdoor maintenance and operating light to heavy equipment is preferred.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening due to safety-sensitive role.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine field maintenance across airport areas including snow and ice control.
• Operate snow plows, sweepers, tractors, mowers and other maintenance equipment.
• Repair bituminous and concrete surfaces and maintain fencing, signage, and grounds.
• Assist foremen and managers in daily tasks and safety procedures.
