Job summary

LifeSkills Connection Inc. is seeking an Academic Instructor (Substitute) to deliver instruction across Reading, Mathematics, Workplace Communications and related subjects at the center in Washington. On-call hours and a wage range reflect a non-exempt, substitute teaching role.

The incumbent will collaborate with Academics staff to support student progress, maintain records, and ensure a positive learning environment while meeting performance and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Minimum of one to two years related experience in education.
• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
• Must be certified to teach in the state where the center is located; driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Instructs reading, mathematics, workplace communications, CSS, health education, driver education or HSD/HSE.
• Maintain classroom discipline to maximize learning and motivate students.
• Coordinate curriculum development with career tech instructors.
• Maintain student folders, attendance, test scores and evaluations; participate in ESP evaluations.
