Job summary

A leading tech company in Bolingbrook is seeking a QA Tester specializing in testing Order Management Systems. You will validate end-to-end order processes, perform integration testing, and work on defect resolution. Strong SQL experience and familiarity with tools like JIRA and Postman are essential. This role requires participation in Agile ceremonies and an understanding of retail/eCommerce processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for OMS functionality.

Skills

Hands-on experience testing an Order Management System (OMS)

Strong understanding of order lifecycle processes

Solid knowledge of SQL for backend data validation

Experience in functional testing

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for OMS functionality.
• Validate end-to-end order flow processes (Order Creation, Sourcing, Fulfillment, Returns, Cancellations, etc.).
• Perform integration testing with upstream and downstream systems (e.g., eCommerce, ERP, WMS, POS).
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues.
• Validate data across OMS and backend systems.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
• Maintain traceability of test cases to business requirements.
• Create and maintain test documentation, test scripts, and test data.

Must-Have Skills:

• Hands-on experience testing an Order Management System (OMS).
• Strong understanding of order lifecycle processes (capture, split, allocation, sourcing, shipping, cancellation, returns).
• Solid knowledge of SQL for backend data validation.
• Experience in functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Familiarity with defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).
• Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SOAP UI).
• Exposure to retail/eCommerce business processes.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with Manhattan OMS, IBM Sterling OMS, Mule or similar platforms.
• Exposure to retail/eCommerce business processes.
