Job summary

Ulta Beauty in Chicago seeks a Network Fulfillment Data Scientist to turn data into actionable insights that optimize omnichannel fulfillment. You will build models, run what-if analyses, and partner with product, operations, and analytics teams to drive guest satisfaction and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities include developing sourcing models, monitoring performance, and delivering scalable dashboards using SQL, Python, Power BI, and Tableau.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in related discipline preferred.
• Experience in retail and eCommerce industries.
• Experience with Supply Chain processes.
• 3-5 years of professional analytical experience.
• Knowledge of OMS/DOM and exposure to order management and fulfillment optimization modules (e.g., IBM Sterling, Manhattan DOM).
• Experience using Python or R for data manipulation and insights.
• Experience with SQL and data analysis tools to mine data, identify insights, and extract features.
• Strong curiosity, organization, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop order sourcing models to optimize fulfillment node selection.
• Analyze allocations and order flows to improve sourcing logic.
• Use predictive modeling to drive business benefits.
• Create and run scenario simulations to optimize omnichannel fulfillment.
• Gather data and use analytical methods to develop scalable network models and what-if scenarios.
• Explain complex analyses and gain buy-in from partners.
• Own metrics and dashboards for Network Fulfillment.
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses and reporting.
