Job summary

White Earth Tribal Council—Behavioral Health Division is hiring an OMC MAT Registered Nurse in Bemidji. The position offers full-time status with a pay of $35.83 per hour or DOQ.

Provides intake evaluations, medical assessments and dispenses medication assisted therapies to patients managing opiate dependence. The ideal candidate is a MN RN (ASN/BSN) with up-to-date licensure, and willingness to obtain PHN certification within 18 months; must meet background checks and drug screening

Qualifications

• Knowledge of and ability to follow policies and procedures of the White Earth Tribal Council, Behavioral Health Division, Nurse Practice Act, and state and federal laws relating to scope of practice.
• Ability to adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• Knowledge of nursing process and systematic approach to care including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and referral.

Pay: $35.83 or DOQ Benefits: Full Status: Full Time

Provides intake evaluation, medical assessments and dispenses medication assisted therapies (MAT) to patients for the management of opiate dependence.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge of and ability to follow and apply policies and procedures of the White Earth Tribal Council, Behavioral Health Division, Nurse Practice Act, and State and Federal laws relating to scope of practice.
• Knowledge and ability to follow Universal Precautions.
• Knowledge of and ability to adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• Knowledge of nursing process, skill in using a systemic approach to care that includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, consultation, and referral.
• Knowledge of human systems, human behavior, and alternate practices.
• Knowledge and skill in in time management, problem solving, prioritizing, and crisis intervention.
• Ability and knowledge to utilize strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively within a group to make the group successful, effective, and efficient.
• Skilled in the operation of a personal computer.

Qualifications:

• Current MN RN (ASN, BSN) nursing license.
• Prefer (2) two years of nursing experience.
• Required to obtain Public Health Nursing (PHN) certification within (18) months of hire.
• Must be over the age of 18 who is able to carry out the license holder's duties.
• Must be free of chemical use problems for at least 2 years immediately preceding their hiring an must sign a statement attesting to that fact and freedom from chemical use problems must be maintained during employment.
• Valid Driver's license and insurance for travel between sites and other business-related destinations.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
