Job summary

The Office of Governmental Accountability seeks a Correction Ombudsperson to lead an independent office responsible for oversight of the Connecticut Department of Correction. • Experience in corrections and advocacy for incarcerated individuals' rights.
• Proven leadership and team supervision abilities.
• Experience in investigations, fact-gathering, and systems examination.
• Knowledge of state and federal corrections laws.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Preferred: personal experience with CT DOC or advanced degree in related fields.
