Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Principal Scientist in oligonucleotides to spearhead the development of sustainable manufacturing processes, drive capacity expansion, and oversee technology transfers for oligonucleotide products at Amgen’s Cambridge, MA or Thousand Oaks, CA campuses.

You will mentor staff, collaborate with cross-functional teams on cGMP production, process understanding, and regulatory filings, and contribute to Amgen’s pipeline with innovative manufacturing solutions.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in a relevant field (PhD/PharmD/MD) with scientific experience OR Master’s with 5+ years OR Bachelor’s with 7+ years

Responsibilities

• Lead development of sustainable and cost-effective oligonucleotide manufacturing processes
• Drive capacity expansion projects and technology transfers to GMP facilities
• Provide technical expertise and mentor staff
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver regulatory documents and filings
• Stay current in bioconjugate manufacturing and publish/present findings
