Job summary
Southern Illinois University Carbondale invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Organizational Learning, Innovation, and Development (OLID) within the School of Education. The nine-month, January 2027 start offers teaching, research, and service in a collaborative program focused on workforce development and organizational change.
The successful candidate will teach OLID courses in face-to-face and online formats, advise students, and contribute to doctoral committees
Qualifications
- Earned doctorate in human resource development, workforce education, adult learning, or a closely related field.
- ABD candidates will be considered if all doctoral requirements are completed by August 10, 2026.
- Demonstrated background in workforce education and/or development.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate OLID courses in face-to-face and online formats.
- Advise students and chair Master’s committees; co-chair doctoral committees.
- Develop and sustain an active research agenda leading to peer-reviewed publications.
- Provide service to the department, college, university, and professional community.
- Pursue external funding opportunities when appropriate; maintain an on-campus presence.
