You will act as the shop’s expert on Okuma 4-axis horizontal milling centers and CNC lathes, ensuring precise parts for surgical instrumentation and automation components. The role involves interpreting drawings, selecting tooling, setting up advanced parameters, and solving complex programming issues while collaborating with engineers, machinists and quality teams to sustain ultra-tight

Qualifications

• Experience with Okuma CNC machinery, 4-axis horizontal mills and lathes.
• Proficient with Okuma OSP controls (OSP-P300, OSP-P500).
• Ability to read GD&T and interpret complex drawings.
• Strong CNC programming and CAM software skills.
• Expert tooling selection, speeds/feeds, and fixturing.
• Experience with medical-grade instrumentation quality standards.
• Mentor junior machinists and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings and select tooling and fixtures.
• Set up machine parameters and optimize CNC programs.
• Troubleshoot programming or machining issues to maintain accuracy.
• Collaborate with machinists, engineers and quality personnel.
