Job summary

Ride Care Inc. is seeking a Transport Driver responsible for safely moving clients to care facilities in and around Oklahoma City. This full-time position requires strong customer service, clean driving record, and the ability to work nights and weekends.

The driver will coordinate routes with dispatch, maintain logs, handle data entry in Samsara, and collaborate with Operations to improve transport efficiency while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Excellent driving record is required.
  • Proficient in English (oral and written).
  • Tech-savvy with data entry experience.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends with flexible hours.

Responsibilities

  • Long- and short-distance driving, coordinating routes and schedules with dispatchers.
  • Retrieve and secure clients and personal belongings for trip to destination facility.
  • Maintain detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and company policies, submitting monthly to Field Supervisor.
  • Ensure mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected promptly, reporting defects, accidents, and violations immediately.
  • Perform daily maintenance of vehicle (refueling, cleaning, snacks/water, etc.).
  • Interact with facility staff, clients, and family members in a professional manner.
  • Address problems and create solutions, collaborating with Dispatcher and elevating problems to Field Supervisor when necessary.
  • Enter data into Samsara system, maintain logs of calls, incidents, miles driven and more, submitting reports monthly to Field Supervisor.
  • Work collaboratively with Director of Operations and Field Supervisors to update and maintain a list of facility contacts.
  • Drive excellence by creating efficiencies that will reduce the arrival time for transports (under the 2-hour maximum). Report all overages to Field Supervisor.

The Transport Driver plays a key role in our work of transporting clients to needed care within and outside our contracted area. They are often the only in-person representative of the company, providing excellent customer service to facility staff, clients and family members in a mental health setting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 26 years or older.
  • Excellent driving record.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Proficient in English (oral and written); active listener.
  • Tech-savvy, good typing skills, and experience with data entry.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends with flexible hours as needed.
  • Operate in highly stressful situations from both internal and external sources, adapting and making decisions as needed.
  • Ability to multi-task, interpreting on-going problems and suggesting possible solutions.
  • Prior law enforcement, military, dispatch, logistics or mental health experience helpful, but not required.
