Job summary

White Earth Behavioral Health Program in Minneapolis, MN is seeking an Urban Traditional Practitioner I to support the delivery of cultural education and traditional healing services for clients, families, and staff. Qualifications

• Experience in delivering culturally appropriate services.
• Ability to facilitate traditional ceremonies and healing activities.
• Knowledge of Ojibwe culture and language preferred.
• Understanding of mental health and spirituality as treatment modalities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing cultural education and traditional healing services for clients, families, and staff.
• Plan and assist with cultural activities that promote traditional healing knowledge.
• Provide programmatic traditional healing services and ceremony support.
• Assess community healing needs and arrange needed services.
• Promote a safe, therapeutic environment for clients.
• Ensure compliance with program policies and procedures.
• Maintain good rapport with internal and external sources.
