Job summary

SDUIH is seeking a Chief Cultural Health Officer to lead cultural programming across Sioux Falls and Pierre clinics. The role involves supervising cultural staff, coordinating activities like Red Road Groups and language classes, and ensuring culturally-informed holistic healing plans for Native communities.

You will partner with executives to identify funding streams, maintain records, and report on cultural program outcomes, while supporting admissions and referrals to strengthen

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Possess a valid state driver’s license.
• Computer proficiency and efficient/accurate data-entry skills.
• Established work with the Native communities.
• Pass a federal background check. Must not have any felony convictions as related to the federal grant authority.
• Able to travel to/from Sioux Falls to Pierre, SD.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and supervise cultural activities and staff.
• Coordinate with community recovery organizations and programs to maintain communications.
• Participate in continuing education and workshops to maintain competency.
• Develop and execute internal cultural training for SDUIH staff.
• Train and mentor SDUIH staff as needed.
• Complete annual reviews and provide feedback to supervisees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain flexible schedules including evenings and weekends.
