Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Alamo, TN is seeking a Team Lead to guide a production team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, driving safety, quality, and on-time delivery each shift while assigning work, solving problems, and supporting daily operations.

You will build team capability by coaching team members and developing multi-skilled operators, lead continuous improvement using Lean principles, and serve as a hands-on leader on the floor.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Manufacturing or machining experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Lean and problem-solving tools.
• Ability to read blueprints and use quality equipment.
• Basic computer skills (Word/Excel).
• Strong communication and team leadership.
• Able to troubleshoot equipment and support maintenance.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production to meet safety, quality, and output targets.
• Assign work based on production plans and training needs.
• Monitor performance and resolve production issues quickly.
• Reinforce safe work practices and PPE use.
• Ensure adherence to standard work and procedures.
• Investigate quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Communicate shift updates and elevate key issues.
• Update performance tracking boards and reports.
• Lead 5S and continuous improvement activities.
• Train and develop team members for multi‑skill capability.
