Job summary

Scoular Co. is seeking a Plant Operator to operate solvent extraction equipment used to extract oil from soybeans and canola. You will monitor control systems, process samples, perform data entry, and maintain safety protocols in a fast-paced production environment.

The role requires operating multiple process steps, daily equipment checks, and active participation in safety programs, on a 12-hour rotating shift schedule with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Ability to operate various types of machinery.
• Basic computer literacy required.
• Willingness to work in varied indoor/outdoor conditions and loud environments.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor equipment for solvent extraction of oil from soybeans and canola.
• Control production parameters by reading gauges and adjusting processes.
• Maintain distillation, extraction, hexane tanks and other equipment in a continuous process.
• Perform daily equipment checks and document process logs.
• Follow safety policies and participate in safety initiatives.
• Work 12-hour rotating shifts and overtime as needed.
