Job summary

EnerStar Solutions is seeking a Power Generation Technician to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair diesel-powered generators, light towers, and power distribution systems across Montana, North Dakota, Wyoming, and surrounding EnerStar districts. This is a hands-on field and shop role based in the Fairview, MT area with travel to customer sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience maintaining and repairing generators and related machinery.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to travel as needed and work overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diesel-powered generators and related equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on generators, engines, alternators, load banks, light towers, and distribution systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and control system issues.
• Travel to customer locations and field sites throughout Montana, North Dakota, Wyoming, and surrounding areas.
• Assist with generator mobilization, commissioning, startup, and field operations as required.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and safety compliance documentation.
