Job summary

Interstate Power Systems seeks a Power Generation Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair diesel and natural gas generator systems, transfer switches, and related components. Work on-site in Fargo, ND, and occasionally travel to Ellendale and other sites.

Candidates should have strong electrical/mechanical knowledge, use diagnostic tools, and excel in safety, quality service, and customer satisfaction. CDL is a plus; some on-call work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• 2+ years experience as a Power Generation Technician or related field.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on power generation equipment.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and electronic issues in generator systems.
• Conduct load bank testing and system upgrades as needed.
• Ensure safety standards and company protocols are followed.
• Document service activities with detailed reports.
