Job summary

Halliburton is seeking an Operator Assistant II to support field operations in Fort Lupton, CO. The role involves rigging-up/down of surface and down hole well logging equipment, recording subsurface data, and assisting with equipment operation under supervision.

The position offers daily duties, a $18.00/hr wage, relocation support including hotel accommodations for 60 days, per diem, and a sign-on bonus. A CDL may be required and HSE compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–6 months of experience as an Operator Assistant I or 1 year of related work in oil field service.
• Must have a current and valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record.
• Must be able to obtain a Class A CDL.
• Well Control Accreditation program may be required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others is necessary.
• Basic math calculations and basic reading/writing skills required.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Knowledge of HMS and HSE standards; promote safety and environmental consciousness.

Responsibilities

• Assist during rigging-up and rigging-down of surface and down hole well logging equipment to record subsurface formations.
• Assist with operation of well logging equipment at job site.
• Assemble down hole well logging tools.
• Maintain, clean and perform preventative maintenance on logging equipment.
• Assist in pre and post job vehicle and equipment inspections and paperwork.
• Perform tasks with minimal impact on organization; errors corrected by supervisor.

Operator Assistant II

Compensation Information

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.

• Operator Assistant II: $18.00/hr.
• Potential Annual Earnings: $76,000/yearly
  • Average annual earnings are an estimationdependent on hours worked per week, overtime hours worked, product service line, location, and position. An offer of employment with Halliburton does not guarantee employment for any length of time. Actual pay will be discussed and finalized at the time of the offer.
• Position is eligible for a $300 monthly stipend based out of Fort Lupton, CO.
• $45/day Per Diem
• Hotel accommodations for 60 days for employee's relocating to the Fort Lupton, CO area.
• 2 weeks on 1 week off schedule.*Halliburton reserves the right to adjust schedules based on industry needs.*

Job Duties

• Under strict supervision, assists during rigging-up and rigging-down of surface and down hole well logging equipment on work locations for the purpose of recording information about sub-surface geologic formations.
• Assists during the rigging-up and rigging-down of surface and down-hole well logging equipment including electric, nuclear, sonic, other well logging tools, and pressure control equipment.
• Assists during the operation of well logging equipment at job site.
• Assembles down hole well logging tools (electric, nuclear, sonic, and other well logging tools).
• Assists on Maintains, cleans and performs preventative maintenance on down-hole and surface well logging equipment.
• Assists in the performance of pre and post job vehicle and equipment inspections and associated paperwork and/or reports.
• Job tasks, correctly performed, have minimal impact upon the viability of the organization. Error is readily ascertainable by the supervisor and can be corrected

Qualifications

• High school diploma orequivalent required.
• 3-6 months of experience as an Operator Assistant I or 1 year of related work experience in oil field service (rig operations).
• Must have a current and valid drivers license and clean motor vehicle record.
• Must be able to obtain a Class A CDL (commercial drivers license).
• Successful completion of Well Control Accreditation Program may be required.
• Given the nature of oil field service work, the ability to communicate effectively with others is necessary.
• The ability to perform basic mathematical calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division is required.
• Basic reading comprehension and writing skills are required.
• Basic computer skills are preferred.
• Must be knowledgeable of basic HMS and HSE standards, and guidelines for PSL personnel. Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness and complies with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations.
• Ensures compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines.
