Job summary

Axis Energy Services, LLC. is seeking a Field Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair oilfield and workover equipment both in the shop and at field sites.

The role covers diesel engines, hydraulic and electrical systems, and lifting equipment, with a focus on safety and reliability. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs in varying conditions, including wellsite environments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent; trade/tech cert in maintenance or diesel repair preferred
• 5+ years of solid experience on oilfield equipment with diesel engines and hydraulics
• Valid state-issued driver license; CDL Class A or B preferred
• Strong hydraulic knowledge and experience with complex hydraulic systems

Responsibilities

• Maintain, diagnose, repair, inspect, assemble, and rebuild engines and powertrain systems
• Service rig, pump, and pressure-control equipment including workover rigs and high‑pressure pumps
• Repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
• Operate lifting and shop equipment including cranes and forklifts
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections per Axis and customer specifications
• Troubleshoot breakdowns and field issues on oilfield equipment
• Read repair manuals and follow procedures
• Complete proper paperwork for service tasks
