Job summary

Axis Energy Services is seeking a seasoned Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, maintain, repair, assemble, and rebuild well servicing and workover equipment in shop or field locations, including diesel engines, heavy trucks, rigs, pumps, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety; typical schedule is a 12-hour shift on a 5/2 rotation with about 40% travel; preference for local candidates within 60 miles of the Kilgore facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; trade or technical certification preferred.
• 5+ years of oil field equipment maintenance experience with diesel engines and hydraulics.
• Valid CDL Class A or B preferred.
• Experience with CAT/Cummins/Mack/MTU electronic diagnostic tools is desired.
• Able to work in shop or field environments and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, assemble, and rebuild oilfield equipment including engines and hydraulic systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting; support field breakdowns.
• Read repair manuals and order parts as needed.
• Operate power tools and test equipment; ensure safety and compliance.
