Job summary

ManpowerGroup in Bear Lake, MI is seeking an Oil and Gas Mechanic to join our Shop Maintenance team and support oilfield production equipment repair and refurbishment.

You will perform component overhauls, diagnose faults with precision tools and software, and rebuild engines, compressors, and hydraulic assemblies to manufacturer specs.

The role requires 2+ years of heavy industrial repair, tool proficiency, the ability to lift 50 pounds, and a Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00am–4:30pm.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical repair experience on heavy industrial machinery or oilfield equipment.
• Proficiency with pneumatic tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Familiarity with high-pressure fluid systems and multi-cylinder engines.
• Own set of tools preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand on concrete floors.

Responsibilities

• Perform overhauls by tearing down, diagnosing, repairing, and rebuilding engines, compressors, pumps, and hydraulics.
• Diagnose issues using precision tools and software; identify mechanical, structural, or electrical faults.
• Inspect components for reusability, request parts, and coordinate with parts department.
• Support machining and refurbishment, clean, degrease, machine, and reassemble to spec.
• Maintain safety and quality by following LOTO, hoisting protocols, and documenting hours and parts.
