JAY-BEE OIL & GAS INC is seeking a Shop Mechanic to inspect, maintain, and repair equipment used in field operations. You will troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safety standards are met across pumps, engines, compressors, valves, and hydraulic systems.

The role requires 3–5 years of mechanical experience in oil & gas or related sectors, strong attention to detail, and solid communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical/vocational training preferred.
• 3–5 years’ experience as a mechanic in oil & gas, heavy equipment, or industrial maintenance.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment and troubleshoot mechanical issues; identify required repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance and timely repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Dismantle, repair, and reassemble components of heavy equipment and engines.
• Maintain accurate service records, maintenance logs, and inspection reports.
• Coordinate with engineers and operators to resolve equipment issues promptly.
• Order and maintain inventory of parts and tools needed for repairs and maintenance.
• Adhere to safety policies and regulatory standards.
