Job summary

Halliburton in Lafayette, LA seeks a Maintenance Technician under direct supervision to gain knowledge of routine preventive maintenance and basic repairs of a variety of equipment.

You will support repairs and maintenance of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, engines, hydraulic systems, pumps and other oilfield service equipment, and assist senior techs with more complex repairs, while upholding safety and efficiency standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• A technical school certificate and relative technical experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support repairs and maintenance of equipment such as heavy-duty trucks, trailers, engines, hydraulic systems, pumps, and other oilfield service equipment.
• Assists maintenance technicians in performing more complex repairs prior to being broken out as a stand-alone Technician I.
• Responsible for ensuring duties are performed in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
• Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations.
• Consequences of errors are easily measured and can be confined.
