Job summary

Halliburton is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Lafayette, LA to support routine preventive maintenance and basic repairs on a variety of equipment under direct supervision. The paid position offers $24.00-$25.00 per hour, with a 2-year contract and potential extension based on performance.

High School Diploma or GED is required, with a technical certificate preferred for more advanced work. This role supports repairs on heavy-duty trucks, engines and hydraulic systems in oilfield service

Responsibilities

• Support repairs and maintenance of equipment such as heavy-duty trucks, trailers, engines, hydraulic systems, pumps.
• Assists maintenance technicians in performing more complex repairs prior to be broken out as a stand-alone Technician I.
• Responsible for ensuring duties are performed in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
• Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations.

• Pay Rate: $24.00 - $25.00/hour, depending on experience.
• Assignment Length: 2-year contract with a high possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.

• Assists maintenance technicians in performing more complex repairs prior to be broken out as a stand-alone Technician I.

• Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations.
• Consequences of errors are easily measured and can be confined.
