Ames Construction in Clyde, NC, is seeking a maintenance technician for heavy construction equipment. Responsibilities include daily fueling, lubricating, and conducting inspections on various machines, ensuring they meet safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in servicing equipment and knowledge of maintenance practices.

Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to climb, crawl, kneel, bend, and work around heavy equipment. Work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and travel as project needs require.
Comply with all company safety policies and procedures. Wear required PPE at all times. Participate in safety training programs. Immediately report unsafe conditions, accidents, or equipment defects. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
1–3 years of heavy highway or civil construction equipment maintenance experience. Experience working with Caterpillar, Deere, or similar construction equipment. Knowledge of preventative maintenance scheduling and equipment inspection programs.
