Marine Spill Response Corporation is seeking an Able Bodied Seaman to support our emergency response missions in Hawaii. The role involves mooring or anchoring duties, vessel and equipment cleaning, maintenance and painting, and assisting in deployment of response gear under supervision.

The position requires a local candidate who can commute daily, report to the vessel within two hours, and hold a USCG Able Seaman - Special license with STCW endorsements.

Qualifications

• USCG license of Able Seaman - Special with STCW endorsements.
• Ability to perform demanding work onboard vessels in varying conditions.
• Proven leadership and communication skills; able to operate a PC.

Responsabilités

• Perform mooring or anchoring duties.
• Carry out vessel and equipment cleaning, maintenance, and painting.
• Assist in the operation and deployment of response equipment as directed.
• Ensure vessel and equipment are cleaned and secured after each trip.
• Splice and care for lines, apply chafing gear as needed.
