A Day In The Life: The Logistics Analyst is responsible for monitoring, coordinating, strategizing, and seeking resolutions associated daily logistics activities for US Gulf grain and crush assets as it relates to port logistics and vessel operations in the North American Agribusiness Unit. The Logistics Analyst will assist with the planning, scheduling, and execution of shipments for transport equipment (barge, vessel, rail, etc.) and corresponding documentation as it relates to contracts and other trade and logistics related activities. To ensure optimal results, the Logistics Analyst will work closely with plant operations, logistics teams, and commercial groups to define, implement, and execute strategies using data related to the day-to-day business activities. The Logistics Analyst will manage documentation processes, as well as assist in managing export contracts, and vessel laytime. Additionally, this role will partake in business projects aimed to minimize costs, reduce errors, and optimize returns. Using metrics to support alignment across Bunge’s agribusiness division, the Logistics Analyst will be expected to provide information and feedback to drive a high performing team.
This is a cross‑functional role to the organization that interfaces with multiple internal regional and global teams and external groups. The Logistics Analyst will be required to collaborate with Commercial, Logistics, Operations, Accounting, and Foreign Trade Support. This position is also responsible for maintaining relationships and communicating effectively with these groups along with others including Legal, Financial Planning and Analysis, and Information Technology.
