Job summary

Western States Equipment Co. seeks a lab technician to support oil analysis and testing operations in Meridian, Idaho. You will prepare samples, perform ICP, GC, viscosity, IR, and particle tests, and ensure timely reporting of results to customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.
One year of similar lab experience preferred.
Must communicate in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

Organizes and prepares samples for daily testing within 24 hours of receipt.
Performs metal (ICP), fuel and coolant (GC), water, viscosity, IR and particle tests.
Ensures lab equipment is clean and in good working condition.
Performs maintenance on lab equipment as necessary.
Maintains a clean lab environment at all times.
Interprets sample results the same day they are processed.
Sends oil test results to customers and other departments within 24 hours.
Prepares equipment nightly for next day’s samples.
Troubleshoots, maintains, and calibrates machines to keep them running.
