Job summary

AspenTech is a global software leader delivering Oil & Gas, refining and supply chain solutions. As Technical Product Owner, you will guide development within a SAFe Agile Release Train, translating strategy into executable backlogs and driving value for customers.

You will work with Product Management, Engineering, Architecture, UX, and Services to define user stories, acceptance criteria, and ensure successful delivery, with opportunities for growth and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

8+ years in technical product ownership or enterprise software delivery.
Experience as Product Owner in SAFe or similar Agile framework.
Experience developing software for Oil & Gas, refining, or supply chain.
Knowledge of refinery and supply chain workflows (planning, scheduling, optimization).

Responsibilities

Own and prioritize team backlog aligned to vision and PI objectives.
Translate industry needs into features, user stories, acceptance criteria.
Lead SAFe ceremonies: PI Planning, backlog refinement, iterations.
Define story value, sequencing, acceptance criteria, ensure quality.
Collaborate with Product Management and customers on workflows.
Evaluate feasibility, technical trade-offs, integrations, dependencies with engineering.
Ensure backlog readiness and support release planning.
Represent customer perspective while balancing value, usability, quality.
Support demos, release readiness, adoption, and issue prioritization.
Use metrics to drive transparency and continuous improvement.
