Hilcorp Energy Company seeks a senior risk leader to manage enterprise risk programs, captive operations, and insurance strategies for U.S. and London markets.

You will oversee a risk department, lead broker activities, and drive cost-effective coverage for oil and gas exploration and production, including offshore projects. Ideal candidate has 10+ years of risk management in the energy sector, strong leadership skills, and a track record in data-driven risk optimization.

Qualifications

• Ten years minimum risk management experience.
• Experience in both the U.S. and London markets.
• Prior captive management experience.
• Oil and Gas - E&P experience offshore and onshore.
• Strong knowledge of risk management processes.
• Experience with claims costs and billing.
• Proficiency in data management and problem solving.
• Ability to lead self-directed teams and strategic planning.
• Ability to build effective working relationships across departments.

Responsabilités

• Oversee risk department operations, workload planning, staff development and performance reviews.
• Manage casualty/property insurance, liability, workers' comp for oil and gas activities.
• Review contracts for proper risk allocation and insurance provisions.
• Direct broker activities including renewals and premium forecasting.
• Develop broker benchmarks and monitor progress.
• Audit and monitor claims to minimize risk.
• Coordinate relationships with insurers, attorneys, brokers and underwriters.
• Manage Hilcorp captive Navitas and lead underwriting efforts.
• Provide analysis on total cost of risk and cost-reduction recommendations.
• Guide insurance requirements in Vendor Management and Enterprise Risk Assessment.
• Review risk management data and ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting.
• Oversee drilling/recompletion reporting to underwriters and GL reconciliations.
• Supervise staff, salary administration, and hiring/retention.
• Maintain technical knowledge via workshops and professional networks.
• Assist in crisis management planning and events.
