Job summary

Jobot is seeking a highly experienced Purchaser for our Oil and Gas sector in Bridgewater, NJ. The role focuses on procuring materials, equipment, and services to support power generation and energy operations, ensuring on-time delivery and competitive pricing.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in procurement within energy industries, with strong invoicing and logistics knowledge and excellent negotiation skills. This is an on-site, permanent position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of purchasing experience in oil and gas or similar energy sectors.
• Proven ability to develop procurement strategies and lead negotiations.
• Strong knowledge of invoicing, logistics, and supply chain processes.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies within the oil and gas sector.
• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
• Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking for the procurement process.
• Assess, manage and mitigate risks in procurement process.
• Collaborate with other departments to determine needs for goods, materials, and services.
• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts, prices, timelines, etc.
• Handle and resolve any issues or problems that arise with purchased goods or services.
• Maintain and update records of purchased products, delivery information, and invoices.
• Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand for services and products.
