Job summary

Ascent Geomatics is seeking a Project Manager to lead DJ Basin oil and gas projects in Colorado, coordinating surveying, GIS, mapping, and permitting from scope development to closeout. The PM acts as the main client contact and drives deliverables, budgets, and timelines across departments.

The role requires strong collaboration, scheduling discipline, and a proven ability to manage changes while ensuring quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

3+ years of project management or project coordination experience in surveying, engineering, GIS, environmental services, permitting, energy, or related professional services.
Experience coordinating technical teams, field and office handoffs, and client-facing delivery of site, survey, mapping, permitting, or related project work.
Experience preparing proposals, project budgets, and effort estimates, and tracking project performance and scope changes.

Responsibilities

Lead scope development through site planning, civil design, permitting, delivery, and closeout.
Coordinate surveying, remote sensing, GIS, drafting, civil engineering, and permitting with department leads.
Translate client objectives into deliverables, projects phases, tasks, budgets, and timelines.
Manage dependencies and the critical path across departments to meet scope, schedule, and budget.
Serve as the primary client contact and provide progress updates and issue resolution.
