Job summary

Onterris is seeking a Field Technician to conduct hydrocarbon fugitive emission and leak detection across oil and gas facilities. You will work with advanced detection technologies, collect emission data, and prepare field reports under a Team Lead’s supervision.

A valid driver’s license and ability to travel are required. This role supports environmental monitoring missions, requiring comfort with outdoor work, variable weather, and long shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in Oil and Gas industry (preference for natural gas processing/transmission facility experience).
• Proficient with Excel and Microsoft Office; comfortable with Android OS.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts (days only) and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Preference for candidates with an associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering technology or related technical degree; related hydrocarbon detection/measures experience valued.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and navigate to facilities using maps and GPS.
• Calibrate and maintain equipment.
• Operate detection and measurement technologies under supervision.
• Collect and record emission data.
• Prepare field reports as required.
