Job summary

Onterris, Inc. is seeking an OGI Field Technician to perform hydrocarbon fugitive emission and leak detection data collection at oil and gas facilities. You will use state-of-the-art systems to measure methane, navigate sites with GPS, and maintain field equipment.

The role requires a hands-on, safety-focused professional with gas industry experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work 12-hour day shifts. A technical degree is preferred and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in Oil and Gas industry is preferred, especially natural gas processing/transmission facilities.
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office; comfortable with Android OS.
• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts (days only) and have a valid driver’s license.
• Degree preferred in engineering technology or related technical field; related hydrocarbon detection or instrumentation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in navigating to facilities using maps and GPS.
• Calibrate and maintain equipment under supervision.
• Operate detection/measurement technologies to collect methane emission data.
• Record emission data and prepare field reports as required.
