Job summary

Hudson Manpower is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Carrollton, TX, onsite, to design and validate tools for Oil & Gas wells. You will drive concept and detail design, perform calculations, and collaborate with simulation and testing teams to ensure HPHT readiness and API compliance.

The role requires 5+ years of experience in oil and gas, proficiency with SolidWorks, ERP/MRP (SAP), and PLM/PDM workflows, and a strong focus on reliability and design-for-excellence.

Qualifications

• Oil & Gas experience is required in design and validation of tools.
• Experience with concept and detail design of oil & gas tools.
• Experience with VAVE and value engineering of designed products.
• Ability to organize design reviews with stakeholders and document decisions.

Responsibilities

• Identify requirements and functionality as part of Project Charter.
• Design components/assemblies per design standards and perform safety calculations.
• Collaborate with simulations team to model tool performance.
• Lead design reviews at project stages.
• Source prototype components with Project Manager in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with Testing to assemble and test for HPHT conditions; inspect results.
• Apply corrective actions and lessons learned to final production design.
• Contribute to Oil & Gas Design for Excellence and reliability programs.
