We are expanding our Vertical Markets team and seeking passionate professionals to help prospects and customers unlock value through Spotfire's visual data science technology. As a key contributor, your responsibilities will include:

1. Identifying industry problems uniquely solvable by visual data science
2. Documenting the data, visualizations, and analytics needed to address these challenges
3. Building analytical applications to streamline problem-solving workflows
4. Creating demo materials and documenting best practices for delivery
5. Enabling our field teams to use these materials to generate interest among prospects
6. Presenting solutions and their business value at industry events
7. Developing collateral to communicate business value and our unique capabilities

A strong candidate will have:

1. An engineering or science BS or higher degree related to our target industries
2. At least 5 years of experience as an analytics practitioner (engineer, scientist, researcher) in the Oil & Gas industry
3. Demonstrable skills in data management, analysis, and storytelling
4. Experience with statistical modeling using Python/R or proprietary tools like SAS, JMP, Minitab, Dataiku, DataRobot, etc.
5. Knowledge of industry-specific tools and applications
6. Fluency in industry data challenges and the business value of solving them

Ideally, candidates will also have:

1. Experience using Spotfire to solve data challenges
2. Knowledge of product positioning and value propositions
