Job summary

Oxy seeks an experienced Production Technician for the ORCM Delaware Basin team based in Carlsbad, NM. The role focuses on oil and gas well operations, testing, and maintaining field equipment while ensuring safe environmental practices.

Responsibilities include reporting production data, coordinating maintenance, and supporting production optimization. The position requires readiness for on-call duties and collaboration with field staff to maximize production and minimize costs.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical principles.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Proficient in a MS Windows environment.
• General mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team or independently.
• Automation experience and hands-on troubleshooting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to applicable safety and environmental regulations.
• Prepare, maintain, and submit daily gas/liquid volume and pressure reports.
• Implement production and operations tests.
• Coordinate and perform maintenance to maintain operations and regulatory compliance.
• Operate and maintain well equipment and automation systems.
• Enter data into production databases and review production information.
• Work with Well Site Management Team and contractors as needed.
