Job summary

Aionios LLC in Houston seeks an Oil & Gas Contract Title Attorney with 3+ years of Texas mineral title experience to handle upstream transactions and CCUS matters. You will examine titles, draft opinions, and negotiate leases and related agreements, collaborating with clients, landmen, in-house counsel, and regulators.

The role offers exposure to sophisticated energy work, a performance-based bonus structure, and direct impact on deal execution in a fast-paced practice.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of oil & gas, mineral title, energy transactions, property law, or related regulatory areas
• Texas mineral law expertise and experience drafting Texas title opinions strongly preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct mineral title examinations and prepare leasehold title opinions
• Perform due diligence and support curative and documentation work
• Draft and negotiate JOAs, PSAs, farm-out/farm-in agreements, servitudes, conveyances, and other upstream energy contracts
• Assist with CCUS-related work, including sequestration servitudes, lease agreements, and regulatory compliance
• Work closely with clients, landmen, in-house counsel, and regulators
• Manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously
