Job summary

Stratas Foods, LLC in Dallas, TX is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform analytical testing of vegetable oils, follow SOPs, and ensure accurate documentation. The role requires attention to safety and quality procedures and a high school diploma with several years of lab experience.

This evening shift position may include weekend work and overtime. Training and safety meetings are provided, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements and data entry into TLC database.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Related Experience: Three (3) years’ previous laboratory experience preferred.
• Equipment/Software Skills: Basic data entry skills required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate to management when test results indicate corrective action is necessary.
• Prioritize samples as they arrive in laboratory.
• Complete analytical testing and paperwork in a timely manner.
• Enter all analysis into data base (TLC).
• Learn new procedures as necessary.
• Develop a thorough understanding of laboratory processes and procedures.
• Attend all training and safety meetings as scheduled.
• Comply with all safety, food safety, environmental, GMP rules, regulations and policies.
• Attend scheduled safety and GMP meetings.
• Packaging line Quality Assurance.
• Finished product and incoming material testing.
• Storage of production retains.
• Communication with supervisor/lead person/Lab Supervisor of laboratory results or quality concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.
