Job summary

Stratas Foods is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform analytical testing of vegetable oils in a Dallas-area facility. The role involves data entry, sample prioritization, and adherence to food-safety GMP guidelines.

The position requires a high school diploma and 3 years of lab experience, with basic data entry skills. Shift is Monday–Friday, 2:00pm–10:30pm, with occasional weekend work and overtime.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Three (3) years’ previous laboratory experience preferred.
• Basic data entry skills required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate to management when test results indicate that corrective action is necessary.
• Prioritize samples as they arrive in laboratory.
• Complete analytical testing and paperwork in a timely manner.
• Enter all analysis into data base (TLC).
• Learn new procedures as necessary.
• Develop a thorough understanding of laboratory processes and procedures.
• Attend all training and safety meetings as scheduled.
• Comply with all safety, food safety, environmental, GMP rules, regulations and policies.
• Attend scheduled safety and GMP meetings.
• Packaging line Quality Assurance.
• Finished product and incoming material testing.
• Storage of production retains.
• Communication with supervisor/lead person/Lab Supervisor of laboratory results or quality concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.
