Job summary

Grease Monkey in Greenville, SC is seeking a dependable lube technician to service and inspect the underside of vehicles quickly, safely, and accurately. You will perform oil changes, greasing, and inspect gear boxes, oil filters, and leaks while ensuring proper gaskets.

The role requires attention to detail, basic literacy, and a valid driver’s license. Training is provided; opportunities for advancement exist within a busy automotive center.

Qualifications

• Customer service, basic literacy, and verbal communication needed.
• Must have a valid license to operate motor vehicles.
• Minimum 3 months of experience or supervised training as a lube technician.

Responsibilities

• Work safely and keep area clean; wear safety gear.
• Perform visual inspection of undercarriage; document conditions.
• Drain oil and replace filter; inspect and replace gaskets.
• Check and fill gear boxes; lubricate components as needed.
• Perform additional services (fuel filters, transmissions, differentials) as applicable.
• Assist with pressure and leak checks; ensure proper seals.
• Lubricate chassis and install tamper seals on plugs.
• Contribute to final safety and quality checks.
• General center maintenance and cleaning duties as required.
