Job summary

American Conservation Experience is seeking 6 Trail Team Members to work on OHV trail maintenance with Tahoe National Forest staff across multiple districts in California. Start ASAP with end date December 19, 2026.

Work includes backcountry camping, logging out trails, grooming tread, and constructing features while using GPS devices and tablets for data collection. Living allowances and housing reimbursements apply.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to work in remote locations and in backcountry camps.
• Capable of handling physically demanding trail work in varied conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform trail maintenance on front and backcountry trails.
• Log out trails and brush, repair tread and trail features.
• Construct new trails, water bars, retaining walls; maintain saws, equipment, and gear.
• Use GPS/Tablets to collect field data and inventory trail resources.
• Be prepared to camp in backcountry for extended periods when assigned.
