Job summary

Spicer Group is seeking an experienced Regional Manager for Ohio to lead CEI project delivery across municipal, utility, and transportation infrastructure. This hands-on leadership role emphasizes safety, quality, schedule, and budgeting while guiding field inspectors and technical staff.

The regional manager will drive business development, strengthen client relationships, and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure technical and operational excellence. Travel up to 50% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related discipline, or experience equivalent.
• Significant experience in construction engineering and inspection.
• Established relationships within Ohio.
• Experience leading complex municipal, utility, and transportation infrastructure construction projects from planning through delivery.
• Demonstrate competency in client management and engagement, project management, communication, financial management, and collaboration.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor field inspectors and construction engineering staff.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to represent Spicer Group with clients, partners, and community stakeholders.
• Ability to travel 50%.

Responsibilities

• Lead Ohio CEI project delivery for municipal, utility, and transportation infrastructure—drive performance across safety, quality, schedule, budget, and public impact.
• Oversee field inspection and construction engineering staff; assign coverage and ensure right technical expertise.
• Direct contract administration: submittals, RFIs, field clarifications, change orders, claims support; document per specs.
• Maintain organized project records to support pay items and dispute resolution; manage pay estimates.
• Establish QA/QC practices for CEI services and coordinate materials testing.
• Manage project financial performance for CEI work in Ohio; monitor budgets and profitability; escalate risks.
• Serve as Project Manager/Construction Manager on complex assignments coordinating with designers, owners, contractors, and agencies.
