Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System in New York conducts CT studies and other diagnostic exams following established protocols. This role assists and positions patients, operates CT equipment, programs contrast injectors, and coordinates with radiologists to ensure high-quality images.

The candidate must have an Associates degree, NY licensure with ARRT CT/IV certification, CPR, and at least 2 years’ CT experience. New graduates considered; familiarity with EPIC Radiant and QA/QC processes is valued.

Qualifications

• Associates degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• Minimum 2 years of progressive CT experience (Will consider new graduates). Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology.
• Licensed by the State of New York, ARRT and CT/IV certification, Current CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Assists, prepares and positions patients as required to perform imaging procedures.
• Performs CT scans and other Diagnostic exams.
• Applies the necessary technical judgment to obtain studies of an acceptable diagnostic quality according to written protocols and the patients’ needs.
• Coordinates scan protocols with radiologist and ensures timely transmission to PACS.
• Maintains infection control and radiology room cleanliness and safety practices.
• Records patient tracking information into EPIC Radiant and schedules exams in EPIC Radiant.
