Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in CT imaging to perform CT studies per established procedures in a busy department.

The role requires NY State license, ARRT CT certification, and at least 1 year of experience including OR and portable radiology. You will support ALARA safety, quality control, and emergency department operations within Mount Sinai Health System.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• NY State DOH license and registration certificate in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Computed Tomography (CT).
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• 1 year minimum experience, including OR procedures and portables.
• Proficiency in Fluoroscopic / portable radiology / OR procedures.
• Knowledge of McKesson PACS and image cast Radiology Information systems (RIS).
• Experience in digital & computed radiography.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiologic examinations on patients referred by physicians following protocols.
• Be competent in routine diagnostic, operating room, and portable radiology.
• Use appropriate kV and mA to ensure high-quality CT images.
• Conduct daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment.
• Inject patients with radiopharmaceuticals per physician's orders.
• Document logs, manuals, and charge documents; report equipment problems.
• Follow ALARA radiation safety guidelines and perform QA/QC and safety tests.
• Maintain and retrieve patient films and data for Radiologist interpretation.
• Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses 1 day prior.
• Verify radiopharmaceutical receipt and activity level prior to administration.
• Evaluate radiographs for technical acceptability.
• Work in an Emergency Department setting.
• Other duties as assigned.
