Job summary

AVANGRID Power, LLC on Martha's Vineyard seeks a Wind Farm Operator to manage safe, efficient transfer of personnel and equipment from shore to offshore sites by vessels and helicopters. You will ensure work orders, tools, and staff qualifications are in place before transit and monitor conditions for safe operations.

You will also oversee remote turbine monitoring via SCADA to identify issues needing corrective action and support ongoing offshore logistics with contractors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• 3+ years in marine coordination or control room operator role.
• Knowledge of SCADA or Marine Control systems.
• Excellent communication skills across stakeholders.
• Ability to gain authorization under High Voltage Safety Rules.
• Experience with VHF radio telecommunication systems.
• Knowledge of marine, aviation and port regulations.
• Strong IT skills (MS Office).
• Interpersonal skills and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work under pressure in international, multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate transfer of personnel/equipment by vessels/helicopters safely and cost-effectively.
• Support work schedules to maximize efficiency of personnel and vessels.
• Monitor weather and conditions to ensure safe transit and site access.
• Coordinate HV switching with National center/ HV Manager when required.
• Initiate and coordinate emergency responses and ERP if needed.
• Ensure adherence to H&S procedures for offshore operations.
• Monitor SCADA alarms and optimize offshore generation.
• Maintain records of vessel usage and weather conditions.
• Support offshore logistics with contractors for cost control.
