Job summary

Gulf Island LLC is seeking an Offshore Combo Welder to fabricate structural and piping components for offshore drilling decks in the Gulf of America. The role requires welding of diverse metals, adherence to QA/QC standards, and ability to pass AWS D1.1 and API 1104 tests.

Candidates must have 2+ years of structural and pipe welding, a valid TWIC, and be able to work offshore in Gulf of America. Safety and tool-handling proficiency are essential for this field position.

Qualifications

• Must pass practical welding test: WPS 362 6GR SMAW and WPS 419 6G SMAW
• 2+ years experience in Structural and Pipe Welding
• TWIC card required
• Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
• Background check required
• Welding tests per AWS D1.1 latest edition, ASME IX, API 1104

Responsibilities

• Set and operate welding machines for applicable processes
• Weld structural and pipe projects per specs
• Maintain welding quality to pass NDT testing
• Ensure safety and proper use of tools and equipment
• Weld various metals and alloys including structural components and decks
• Assist with scaffold building and access to structures and decks
