Job summary

CCI Industrial Services seeks an Offshore Skilled Laborer to support platform maintenance offshore in Alaska. LOCAL APPLICANTS only.

You will perform general roustabout duties, operate small equipment like forklifts, and follow client safety programs under supervision or independently as required. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and preferably 24‑hour Hazwoper training or crane rigging certificates.

Job Description

General Description: The laborer position is responsible for performing general labor work OFFSHORE along with assisting craftsmen in performing their tasks. Laborers must apply sound judgement and understanding when carrying out detailed or uninvolved written and/or oral instructions. They must have the ability to analyze and handle problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. They must read and interpret safety manuals, warning signs, drawings, specifications, rigging diagrams, and lifting capacity charts for equipment and load carrying parts. They must display capable oral communication skills and provide and receive oral safety warnings, instructions, and task assignments. This position will help drive CCI’s Mission, Vision, and Values, a crucial part of the strategic plan to drive success, and will be driven by client direction. • Assist client in general roustabout duties associated with platform upkeep, maintenance, operations, and may operate smaller equipment such as forklifts.
• Have knowledge of platform and offshore practices. Must be able to follow instruction, but can also work unsupervised.
• Work a 1x1 rotation offshore.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to follow instruction from the client and perform general skilled labor/roustabout duties properly and efficiently, including forklift operations. Knowledge of platforms and offshore operations. Ability to work 1x1 rotation.

Physical Requirements

• Mobility: Must be able to access all controls and all parts of machinery for service. Must be able to push/pull 50 pounds for 20 feet.
• Hearing: Must be able to hear audible safety alarms.
• Visual acuity: Must be adequate to perform listed tasks and take hand signals from ground man or flag man.
• Lifting: Must be able to routinely lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist, 50 pounds from waist level to shoulder height, and carry 50 pounds for 20 feet.
• Range of motion: An objective measurement will be conducted and recorded using a five‑position and rapid exchange grip strength test during pre‑hire/post‑offer FCE.
