Job summary

CCI Industrial Services LLC is seeking a safety‑minded individual for welding and fitting in Alaska. The role involves performing essential duties to ensure a safe work environment, reading blueprints, and traveling to remote sites and client facilities as needed.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license. Experience with heavy equipment in oilfield environments is preferred, with a focus on safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe work environment.
• Fit up steel components to be welded.
• Cut, bevel, thread, and bends pipe using cutting torches, saws, threading machines and pipe cutting machines.
• Determine pipe sizes and schedules, Flange schedules and ratings.
• Prepares weld surface as necessary.
• Perform STOP Audits and observations.
• Attend all required training classes.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Assist in civil and mechanical construction, excavation / trenching, backfill / compacting, raking, shoveling, cleaning, organizing materials, and day-to-day facility operations.
• Assist in loading and unloading of material and equipment for mobilization. Knowledge of load securement practices.

• Ensure a safe work environment.
• Participate in CCI’s Safety Step-Back program and by staying up to date with the online training modules in Virtual Training Assistant (EHS). Review and comply with the various Client’s safety programs.
• Your responsibility includes representing the Company in a professional manner at all times.

• Ability to cut and cope for structural.

• Ability to read Isometrics and basic blueprints.
• Ability to be highly safety conscious.
• Ability to travel to remote areas/platforms/client facilities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and severe outside weather conditions. The employee is exposed to welding fumes and grinding dust. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee may be needed to work at heights. Travel to remote areas, platforms, or client facilities should be expected. Hearing protection and the use of safety eyewear is required in most working situations.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience around heavy equipment / cranes in an oilfield environment is preferred.
• 2 years of experience in fitting is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• MOBILITY: Must be able to access all controls and all parts of machinery for service. Must be able to push/pull 50 pounds for 20 feet.
• HEARING: Must be able to hear audible safety alarms.
• VISUAL ACUITY: Must be adequate to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner and take hand signals from ground man or flag man.
• LIFTING: Must be able to routinely lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist, 50 pounds from waist level to shoulder height and carry 50 pounds for 20 feet.
• RANGE OF MOTION: An objective range of motion measurement will be conducted and recorded using a five position and rapid exchange grip strength test during the pre-hire/post offer FCE.
