Job summary

CCI Industrial Services, LLC is hiring a Lube Technician in Alaska to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on company vehicles and equipment, including fleet pickups. The role emphasizes safety and adherence to HSE standards in a heavy- industry setting.

On-site work at construction and maintenance sites, with expectations of clear communication and reliable completion of tasks. Must have 18+ years, a valid license, and NSTC card; a pre-employment screen may be required.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license.
  • 2 or more years related experience.
  • Experience working on the North Slope is a plus.

Job description

The Lube Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and incidental repairs in the company vehicles and equipment, including Ford and GM fleet pickups.

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

  • Maintain and demonstrate proficient working knowledge of all equipment, policies, and procedures.
  • Initiate problem solving and complete timely maintenance and repair on vehicles, equipment,
  • Conduct preventative maintenance {PM's) on all Client equipment according to monthly PM scheduler, conduct modifications and repairs.
  • Communicate daily status of current projects to VMS Foreman to ensure all projects are timely and within Company standards.
  • Ensure a safe work environment.
  • Build integrity, honesty and trust with stakeholders, clients, and employees.
  • Establish and maintain rapport and strong working relationships with co-workers and client representatives.
  • Comply with all guidelines, policies and procedures established by CCI Industrial Services and clients while on shift, on call, or attending training.
  • Be a Safety Leader! Ensure the resources and commitment to HSE is of top priority for all employees within the company.
  • Maintain 100% “Safety Standards and Accountability” in all areas or mandatory/regulatory requirements, which include:
    • Maintain compliance with required HSE Training.
    • Taking necessary action when behaviors or conditions around you may be unsafe.
    • Reporting and addressing all potential safety concerns/incidents/issues promptly and willingly participate and assist in any investigation that may relate to a safety incident.
    • Performs work in strict compliance with permitting requirements, Alaska Safety Handbook (ASH) Standards and other compliance-oriented directives. The Lube Tech has STOP work authority.
    • Participating in safety meetings, working safely, and maintaining a safe work environment as an employee and representative of CCI Industrial Services.
    • Document and record any injury or near miss incident that may occur while you are working.
    • Demonstrate and promote safe work practices by participating in JSA reviews, pre-job walkdowns and safety START card preparations covering work activities and materials required by the company and the client.
    • Promote and participate in Safety Programs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to clearly speak, write, read and understand the English language.
  • High organized and can prioritize multiple requests from different departments and managers.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.

Position may involve exposure to extremely hostile weather conditions at times while working outdoors. This position may involve working with potentially hazardous materials and waste.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. A pre-hire post offer Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) will be conducted to determine an employee’s ability to perform to the job standard. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • MOBILITY: Must be able to access all controls and all parts of machinery for service. Must be able to push/pull 50 pounds for 20 feet.
  • HEARING: Must be able to hear audible safety alarms.
  • VISUAL ACUITY: Must be adequate to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner and take hand signals from ground man or flag man.
  • LIFTING: Must be able to routinely lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist, 50 pounds from wait level to shoulder height and carry 50 pounds for 20 feet.
  • RANGE OF MOTION: An objective range of motion measurement will be conducted and recorded using a five position and rapid exchange grip strength test during the pre-hire/post offer FCE.
