Job summary

Oxy seeks a Reliability Engineer – Offshore Operations to lead reliability initiatives across offshore production, utility, and safety systems. You will collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Inspection, Automation, Supply Chain, and Engineering to reduce failures and improve asset integrity, MTBF, MTTR, and availability.

The role requires developing and implementing data-driven maintenance strategies, performing RCFA investigations, supporting shutdowns, and ensuring compliant maintenance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical/Marine/Reliability)
• 5–10 years of offshore/O&G or related industrial experience
• Experience applying reliability engineering methodologies (RCFA) and maintenance optimization
• Working knowledge of rotating and fixed equipment
• Proficiency with SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) or equivalent CMMS
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder-engagement skills

Responsibilities

• Provide reliability engineering leadership to improve safety, reliability, availability, and performance of offshore systems
• Monitor equipment performance and reliability trends; develop and improve maintenance strategies
• Lead RCFA investigations and develop corrective actions to reduce failures and production losses
• Support management-of-change activities for equipment modifications and reliability improvements
• Review and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs for effectiveness
• Support planning and execution of shutdowns, turnarounds, and major campaigns
• Improve SAP maintenance plans and equipment master data for reliable execution
